Want the reasons in your “Not Qualified Lead” dropdown to better match your practice? Edit the existing field’s options in Settings. You do not need to create a new field.

1. Find the right field

Open Settings → Custom Fields. Search for Not Qualified Lead. Choose the Dropdown (single) field in Lead Details, then click the pencil in its Actions column. Do not choose “Reason for not qualified”; that is a separate notes field.

Find Not Qualified Lead in Settings → Custom Fields

2. Edit your choices

Under Dropdown options, click an existing label to edit its wording. To add a reason, click + Add option and enter a short, clear choice. For example: “Requested evening appointments we do not offer.” Keep “Other” for situations that do not fit your list.

The current choices cover fees, insurance, services or providers not offered, location or licensing limits, and Other. Use wording your intake team can apply consistently.

Edit a dropdown label or use Add option, then Update field

3. Save the dropdown

Click Update field. Keep the existing field name, object, and key. Before renaming or removing an existing choice, ask ClinicMonk™ Support to check whether that choice is used in your workflows or reporting.

4. Check it on a lead

Open Leads and open a lead’s opportunity record. Find Not Qualified Lead in its details and open the dropdown to confirm your choices appear. You can inspect the choices without selecting one.

Only select and save a reason when the lead truly is not a fit. This field starts your not-qualified automation; it is not just a note. Editing the list of choices is different from marking an individual lead not qualified.

If you cannot see Custom Fields or the edit pencil, ask your account administrator or ClinicMonk™ Support for help.
