Phone and texting charges come from your ClinicMonk™ wallet and are separate from your subscription. All prices below are in USD.

Monthly fees

Your local ClinicMonk™ phone number costs $2.30 per month, per number. This keeps it active, whether you get a new number or bring your existing number over (porting). You don’t need a toll-free number.

Business texting registration costs about $22–$25 once. There is also a messaging fee of up to $10.50 per month to keep the registration active. These carrier fees are typical for registered business texting.

Calls and texts

Outgoing calls cost 2.8 cents per minute. Incoming calls cost 1.7 cents per minute. Incoming calls forwarded to your current phone service cost 4.5 cents per minute because you pay for the incoming call and the outgoing forwarding connection.

Texts cost 1.66 cents for each billable part. A short text usually uses 1 part; longer texts and some emoji can use more.

Your phone options

There are 3 options: keep your current provider and forward calls from your ClinicMonk™ number to it, move your existing number into ClinicMonk™ (porting), or switch completely to a new ClinicMonk™ number. With porting or a new number you answer in ClinicMonk™, which generally costs less than forwarding. Moving your number does not automatically cancel your old phone subscription.

Why you may see charges before using it

The phone number and registration can be charged when they are set up, before you start making calls or sending texts. A monthly messaging charge may appear under the same registration label as the one-time fee. Check Settings → Billing → Wallet & Transactions → Transactions to see what each charge covers.

Phone and email use the same wallet. Your card recharges it when the balance gets low; this adds credit, rather than another service fee. Contact Support if you need help understanding a charge.
